Precautions for the use of soft starters
1. The installation and maintenance of the soft starter should be carried out by qualified professionals.
2. It is strictly forbidden to use high voltage test equipment (such as a megger) to test the insulation of the soft starter.
3. If the motor is required to run reversibly and a reversing contactor can be installed on the incoming side, but can not be installed on the output terminal of the soft starter.
4. It is not allowed to connect capacitors at the output terminal of the soft starter.
5. Do not install motor soft starter near the heating element.
6. The specifications of the motor should match the ones of soft start.
7. Users should leave enough space to ensure that the cooling air circulates from the bottom to the top of the soft starter.
8. Make sure that no liquid or conductors fallen in the starter.
9. If the ventilation is insufficient, a forced ventilation device should be added though there is a cooling fan installed in the soft starter itself.
