Features

1. The excitation current has a linear relationship with the transmission torque. The torque of the magnetic powder brake is basically linear with the excitation current. The size of the control torque can be adjusted at random by changing the size of the excitation current. The torque can be controlled over a wide range. Under normal conditions, the excitation current has a linear relationship with transmission torque within range of 5% ~ 100% rated torque.

2. Stable rotational speed---the feature of torque. When the excitation current remains constant, the torque will be transmitted steadily and will not be affected by changes in speed. This feature is used in tension control, the torque can be controlled by only adjusting the excitation current, so as to achieve the purpose of tension control.

3. Effective heat sink and its load characteristics. When the friction part keeps sliding continuously, it will inevitably generate heat and even be destroyed. The micro magnetic particle brake is also known as the micro magnetic powder brake and the rated voltage is DC24V. Although the magnetic powder brake's excitation current is small, it can output a large torque, so it can easily form an automatic control system. Additionally, when the excitation current changes, the corresponding magnetic field strength also responds synchronously, so it has a superior response speed.
When the excitation current remains constant, the output torque is not affected by the differential speed (slip speed) between the driving part and the driven part. In other words, there is no difference between static torque and dynamic torque.
Therefore, the micro magnetic powder brake can output a constant torque very stably. If this feature is applied to the tension control, users only needs to adjust the size of the excitation current and the purpose of controlling the coil tension can be achieved concisely, effectively and accurately.
