Control Transformer Features
  • Terminal Block: High quality terminal block, excellent temperature resistance, pressure resistance and flame retardancy.
  • Silicon Steel Sheet: New cold rolled silicon steel sheet, 0.27mm, 0.30mm, 0.35mm, excellent performance.
  • Enameled Wires: H class, temperature resistance180℃, winded tightly and uniformly, no insulating layer, high heat dissipation, service life ≥35 years.
  • Bobbin: Made of nylon, high temperature resistance, great flame retardancy, has ventilation slots between the coils for smooth air flows and reducing temperature of coils.

KNOWLEDGE BASE --- Normal Service Condition Requirements for Control Transformer
  • Insulation resistance
The insulation resistance of the control transformer in the cold state should be no less than 10 MΩ and in the hot state and the wet state it should be no less than 2 MΩ.
  • Insulation strength
The electrical insulation strength of the control transformer should be able to withstand the voltage test of AC 50Hz, 2000V sinusoidal AC voltage and such phenomenon breakdown or flashover will not occur within 1 min.
  • Leakage current
The leakage current of the control transformer must not exceed 3mA.
  • Temperature rise
The limit temperature rise of the control transformer windings (E Class insulation) shall not exceed 75K (resistance method). The limit temperature rise of the iron core (E Class insulation) shall not exceed 55K (semiconductor point thermometer method).
  • Ground
The control transformer shall have a dedicated terminal for grounding and shall be marked with a grounding symbol.
