  • 60 kVA transformer is not a phase converter. It can be used for three-phase step-up or three-phase-step-down voltage.
  • The transformer is unsuitable for converting any frequency from 50 Hz to 60 Hz or 60 Hz to 50 Hz. It can be used either input and output 50 hz or 60 hz frequency.

60 kVA Isolation Transformer Features

Isolation transformers prevent transmission of the DC component in signals from one circuit to the other but allow AC components in signals to pass. Such an isolation transformer provides a ratio of 1 to 1 between the primary and secondary coil winding and is widely used to protect secondary circuits and individuals from electrical shocks between energized conductors and earth ground. Additionally, the 1 to 1 isolation transformer has the function of anti-harmonic interference caused by ground loops and comes with electrostatic shields so that such transformers are used for power supplies for sensitive equipment, such as computers, medical equipment, audio equipment, robot devices, laboratory instruments, industrial, commercial applications, public buildings, airport construction, wind or solar plant, transportation, etc.

  • Silicon Steel Sheet: New cold-rolled silicon steel sheet, 0.27mm, 0.30mm, 0.35mm of thickness, excellent performance.
  • Terminal Block: High-quality terminal block, excellent temperature resistance, pressure resistance, and flame retardancy for small power. For high power, made of quality copper material, with good electrical conductivity, and high temperature resistance, not easy to burn out the equipment when a short circuit happens.
  • Enameled Wires: H class enameled copper/aluminum wires, temperature resistance 180℃, winded tightly and uniformly, no insulating layer, high heat dissipation, service life ≥35 years.
  • Bobbin: Made of nylon, high-temperature resistance, great flame retardancy. The high-power transformer with a frameless design has ventilation slots between the coils for smooth air flows which reduces the temperature of the coils.
  • Insulation Process: The 60 kVA isolation transformer adopts H-class vacuum-impregnated insulation, temperature resistance of 180°C, lower noise, better insulation, and anti-rust and anti-corrosion.

KNOWLEDGE BASE --- Why should the iron core of the isolation transformer be grounded?
When the power isolation transformer is working normally, the iron core must be grounded reliably. If there is no grounding, the floating voltage of the iron core to the ground will intermittently cause a breakdown discharge of the iron core to the ground. After the iron core is grounded at one point, the possibility of forming the floating potential of the iron core will be eliminated. However, when the core is grounded at more than two points, the uneven potential between the cores will form a circulation between the ground points and cause the heating fault of the core due to multi-point grounding.
The ground fault of the iron core of the isolation transformer will cause local overheating of the iron core. In some severe cases, the local temperature rise of the iron core will increase, light gas will act and even a tripping operation will happen due to heavy gas action. The fused partial iron core forms a short-circuit fault, which increases the iron loss and seriously affects the performance and normal operation of the isolation transformer and even the iron core silicon steel sheet has to be replaced. Therefore, the isolation transformer does not allow multi-point grounding and can only have one-point grounding.
