- 20 kVA transformer is not a phase converter. It is usable for three-phase step-up or three-phase-step-down voltage.
- The transformer is unsuitable for converting any frequency from 50 Hz to 60 Hz or 60 Hz to 50 Hz. It can function either input and output 50 hz or 60 hz frequency.

KNOWLEDGE BASE --- Isolation Transformer Function
The principle of isolation transformer is the same as that of ordinary transformer, which is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. Isolation transformers generally refer to 1:1 transformers (1 to 1 isolation transformers) because the secondary is not connected to the ground. So, there is no potential difference between the secondary wires and the ground. Therefore, it is safely used as a maintenance power supply.
Not all isolation transformers are 1:1 transformers. The power supply for the control transformer and valve equipment, power supplies, such as tube amplifiers, tube radios, oscilloscopes, and lathe control transformers are all isolation transformers, which have the function of anti-harmonic interference and are commonly used in medical equipment, audio equipment, and robot device for safe maintenance.
