KNOWLEDGE BASE --- Stepper Motor Features
1. The stepper motor must be driven to operate, the driving signal must be pulse signal. When there is no pulse, the stepping motor is stationary. If an appropriate pulse signal is added, it will rotate at a certain angle (called the step angle). The rotation spped (stepper motor rpm) is proportional to the pulse frequency.
2. The stepping angle of three phase stepper motor is 7.5 degrees, 360 degrees in a circle and 48 pulses are required to complete.
3. The stepping motor has the features of instant start and rapid stop.
4. When the sequence of pulses is changed, the rotation direction will be changed easily.
Therefore, 3D printers, plotting instrument, robots and other equipment are driven by stepper motor drivers.
