- The red values indicate that the running direction of both gearhead and DC motor are the same, while the other values indicate they run in the opposite direction.
- The speed is calculated based on motor rated speed divided by the gear ratio. The actual speed is 2%-20% less than the displayed value above with the change of load.
- If you want reduce the speed further than the gear ratio in the table above, installing an intermediate speed reducer (gear ratio: 10) between the gearhead and motor is recommended.

KNOWLEDGE BASE --- DC Gear Motor Working Principle
The motor in DC gear motor is composed of a permanent magnet rotor, a multi-winding stator and a position sensor. The position sensor commutates the current of the stator winding in a certain order according to the change of the rotor position.
Namely, the position of the rotor magnetic relative to the stator winding is detected and the position sensing signal is generated at the determined position, which is processed by the signal conversion circuit to control the power switch circuit and switches the winding current according to a certain logic relation. The working voltage of the stator winding is provided by an electronic switch circuit controlled by the output of the position sensor.
The DC geared motor has many features, such as low noise, smooth operation, no brush, low interference, longer service life and low maintenance cost, so that it is widely used in electronic instruments, smart robots, smart homes, industrial smart drives and automated office equipment.
